As a Major Gifts Officer, Nicole Santos Gandi travels around the country to connect passionate individuals and supporters with FCNL, raising money to further the mission of the organization.

Ernest Scarborough organizes and executes FCNL’s major events, including FCNL’s Annual Meeting and Quaker Public Policy Institute, Spring Lobby Weekend, and other virtual events and webinars.
Sania Shaffi worked as the development assistant at FCNL. Her responsibilities included processing donations, gift entry, and sending out acknowledgment letters. Additionally, she supported the development team with the monthly donor program.
Mark Shanahan is responsible for maintaining and growing FCNL’s sustainable operations and oversees the facilities management of FCNL’s office and 205 C Street. Besides leading the process of continuing updates of our current FCNL building, Mark is also the project manager of the 205 C Street construction project, heavily involved in the development, planning and construction process for the future Quaker Welcome Center and Friend in Washington base on Capitol Hill.
Mariah Shriner served as the program assistant for the sustainable energy and environment team for 2020-2021. Mariah lobbied members of Congress, advocating for bipartisan responses to climate change and support for climate justice.
Theo Sitther directed the peacebuilding program at FCNL and oversaw the work of the peacebuilding team. He lobbied to change and reform militarized counterterrorism policies with a particular focus on military assistance.
Kevin Snow was the program assistant for Militarism and Human Rights for 2022-2023. He lobbied for policy reforms that protect civilian life in conflict zones and to end America’s Forever Wars.
Abigail advocates for policies that will reduce the role of nuclear weapons in US foreign policy. She is motivated by the idea that diplomacy is an effective way to address international tensions. Abigail believes in the power of constituent voices and is passionate about empowering individuals to hold their elected officials accountable.
