As a Major Gifts Officer, Nicole Santos Gandhi travels around the country to connect passionate individuals and supporters with FCNL, raising money to further the mission of the organization.
Prior to joining FCNL in 2021, Nicole worked as a fundraiser at The Nature Conservancy, Virginia Tech, and Elms College. She also taught history and English in the United States and Japan. Nicole is currently a member of the Human Rights Campaign Greater Washington, DC Steering Committee, where she volunteers to increase corporate engagement and support. Previously, she served on the Pioneer Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s planning committee for the Alzheimer’s Association, and was the Communications Chair for Women in Philanthropy of Western Massachusetts.
Nicole holds a master’s degree in historical research from Lancaster University in England and a bachelor’s degree in history with minors in film studies and writing from Gettysburg College. Through work and study abroad, she has lived in Fukui Prefecture, Japan; Lancaster, England; and Cologne, Germany.
Nicole has long been interested in government and activism, including briefly holding local elected office in her hometown in western Massachusetts as a representative to the town meeting. As someone who has been involved with both Catholic and Quaker communities, Nicole is proud to continue working with the faith community to advocate for justice and peace.
In her spare time, Nicole enjoys experimenting with new vegetarian recipes while watching classic and international films.
