Devra Baxter was FCNL’s 2024-2025 Program Assistant for Militarism and Human Rights, assisting the team in advocating for sustaining, nonviolent U.S foreign policy. As a program assistant she lobbied to reduce Pentagon spending, and end U.S militarism abroad.

Michelle Beers

Michelle Beers
Program Assistant, Field Program

Michelle Beers works with the Quaker Field Secretary Christine Ashley on building relationships with Quaker and non-Quaker constituents across the country. Michelle helps empower constituents to be civically-minded and to advocate on the issues they care about by connecting them with pertinent and relevant resources and instructions about lobbying and faith-based action.

Lauren Bladen-White

Director for Operations and Administration

Lauren Bladen-White is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day building operations and facilities management. She served as the project manager for the complete renovation of the geothermal system for FCNL’s green building, and she is the event manager for the both the Annual Meeting and the Spring Lobby Weekend.

Lauren is a community activist who is involved in tenants’ rights, human rights, women’s issues, and animal rights. She is a native of Richmond, Virginia, and is an alumna of St. Catherine’s School and Howard University.

Katie Breslin

Katie Breslin served as FCNL’s Young Adult Program Manager. In that capacity Katie organized, trained, and supported the efforts of young activists and leaders to affect big, long-term change within Congress.

Alicia advocates for the preservation of the environment, recognition of climate change, and the enactment of legislation that promotes sustainable solutions to our current climate crisis.

Clare Carter

Program Assistant, Quaker Outreach (2022-2023)

Clare Carter is FCNL’s 2022-2023 program assistant for Quaker engagement. In this role, Clare will serve as a liaison between network members involved in Quaker communities and the organization of FCNL. She works to increase Quaker engagement within FCNL, and to keep the organization up to date on what is happening in Quaker spaces across the country.

Jim Cason

Former Associate General Secretary for Policy and Advocacy

Jim Cason served the FCNL community for seventeen years. As Associate General Secretary for Policy and Advocacy, he was responsible for directing the full range of FCNL’s strategic advocacy work. In this capacity, he worked with program staff to develop long-term change strategies that accomplish our particular legislative goals.

Annie Chiorazzi organized and executed FCNL’s major events, including the Quaker Public Policy Institute, Annual Meeting, and Spring Lobby Weekend as well as other virtual events and webinars.

Kerri Colfer

Congressional Advocate, Native American Advocacy Program 2019-2021

Kerri managed the Native American Advocacy Program, lobbying on legislation that affects Native communities.
