Daren Caughron

Daren is the Scoville Fellow at FCNL. In this capacity, he works through the FCNL Education Fund to provide research and coordinate meetings for the Prevention and Protection Working Group (PPWG).

Daren graduated from Missouri State University with a B.S. in political science and communication in December 2019. His studies focused on U.S. foreign policy and comparative politics in Latin America.

In the spring of 2018, he interned for State Representative Crystal Quade, where he helped co-write the “Enough is Enough Act” (H.B. 2647) to help address sexual assault on college campuses. Prior to that, Daren interned in Sen. Claire McCaskill’s (MO) Springfield district office, meeting with veterans from all around the Ozarks and helping them navigate the complexities of the Veterans Affairs bureaucratic system. Daren has keen interests in international affairs, public service, and U.S. foreign policy. He is originally from Springfield, Missouri.
