A proud D.C. native, Lakita McNeil is the Senior Executive Assistant to the General Secretary at the Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL), bringing over 20 years of experience supporting senior leadership and overseeing complex office operations. She’s known for her calm under pressure, sharp organizational skills, and commitment to keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Lakita is currently pursuing her B.A. in Human Resources at Western Governors University.
Nelson Miranda is the Senior Manager of IT Operations. He leads FCNL’s efforts to develop, implement, and evolve technologies to support the organization’s growth.
Maria Mitri started as the Migration and Policy Administrative Associate in 2025. She lobbies for a more just and humane immigration system that honors the inherent dignity of all human beings.
