Shawn Adams serves as FCNL’s 2024-2025 program assistant for Nuclear Disarmament and Pentagon Spending, assisting the team in advocating for necessary reductions in military spending, a renewed focus on arms control, and the long-term goal of eliminating the need for nuclear weapons.  

Hadiya Afzal serves as part of FCNL’s strategic advocacy team as the diaspora engagement and partnerships organizer.

Anna Aguto is the 2024-2025 Program Assistant for Sustainable Energy and Environment and Native Advocacy. She lobbies Congress to address climate change in equitable, just, and peaceful ways and to live up to its treaty responsibilities to Tribal nations.

Sandra Ames is the Finance Project and Reporting Manager at FCNL. She works with the Finance Team to provide financial reports for departments, leadership, and the Board of Directors for budget, cash flow and grant purposes and assists with improving team processes.

Devra Baxter is FCNL’s 2024-2025 Program Assistant for Militarism and Human Rights. Assisting the team in advocating for sustaining, nonviolent U.S foreign policy. As a program assistant she lobbies to reduce Pentagon spending, and end U.S militarism abroad.

Kelsey Beaumont Shaffer oversees the database processes in the fundraising department. She is responsible for donor data management and providing analytical support to members of the fundraising and finance teams, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of FCNL’s donor and gift data.

Lindsay Bencick joined FCNL in October 2023 as the Governance, Community, and Culture team’s administrative assistant.

Bryan Bowman is FCNL’s social media and communications strategist. In this role, he manages FCNL’s social media platforms, supports the production of FCNL’s digital content, and represents the communications team in coalition efforts.

Heather Brandon-Smith is FCNL’s Deputy Director for Foreign Policy. Heather leads FCNL’s work to repeal outdated war authorization, promote respect for human rights and international law, and reduce U.S. armed interventions around the world.

Daren is FCNL’s legislative manager for sustainable energy and environment. He lobbies Congress to support action to respond to the climate crisis and prevent the further degradation of our communities and our planet.
