Sandra Ames is the Financial Reporting and Project Manager for FCNL. She works with the Finance Team to provide financial reports for departments, leadership, and the Board of Directors for budget, cash flow and grant purposes and assists with improving team processes. She joined FCNL in 2019 and has previously held the positions of Staff Accountant and Senior Accountant.
Sandra is a licensed CPA. She earned her MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Prior to joining FCNL, Sandra was Accounting and Finance Manager at a Head Start childhood development center after spending five years at a local public accounting firm auditing small non-profit organizations.
Sandra lives in Rockville, Maryland with her husband and is fortunate to have four of her children nearby in Maryland and DC, with a fifth one in Vancouver, Canada. She is active in her East Rockville neighborhood association and led an effort to turn a dis-used strip of city property into a small urban park with native Maryland plants.
