2002 Iraq AUMF: Where Things Stand

On Jan. 30, the House passed a repeal of the 2002 Authorization for Use of Military Force (2002 Iraq AUMF) as part of two measures intended to prevent the administration from going to war with Iran. Repealing this disastrous war authorization is a major victory, but it’s crucial that we maintain this momentum to end endless war.

A Missed Opportunity on Taxes and a Chance to Try Again

Congress failed to pass a package of key tax credits and extensions that would have benefited 19 million low-income people and updated critical tax credits to encourage solar energy, energy storage, offshore wind, and electric vehicles. But lawmakers soon could have another chance to advance these needed changes.
