Senate Set to Vote in March on Illegal U.S. War in Yemen

A bipartisan trio of Senators—Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Mike Lee (R-UT), and Chris Murphy (D-CT)—has introduced legislation to end U.S. military involvement in the Saudi-led war in Yemen that has driven the world’s largest humanitarian crisis. Because this war has never been authorized by Congress, the War Powers Resolution guarantees that this bill will get a vote on the Senate floor within weeks.

The Friends Committee on National Legislation urges Congress to denounce this provocation and to refuse to fund Trump’s planned fortress-like embassy in Jerusalem.

FCNL Hosts White House Rally Against Muslim Ban 3.0

On September 26, 2017, FCNL along with 13 other organizations hosted a rally behind the White House to protest the Trump administration’s most recent travel ban and proposed refugee cap of 45,000. Activists, reporters, members of Congress, musicians, and general citizens gathered at 6:00 pm to listen to the speakers and express deep opposition to the administration’s discriminatory and exclusionary measures.
