House and Senate Pass Interior Appropriations Bill, Reject Most Proposed Cuts for Indian Country

On January 15, 2026, the Senate passed H.R. 6938 (Commerce, Justice, Science; Energy and Water Development; and Interior and Environment Appropriations Act, 2026). This bill funds three areas of government, including the Department of the Interior, through September 30, 2026.
