Today Joelly Mejia and I trained over 60 people at Orange Grove Meeting to lobby their members of Congress. Such a success! - Katie

After worship at the La Jolla Friends Meeting, Escondido Advocacy Corps organizer Lili Serrano and I visited Pier Plaza on Imperial Beach. Within eye sight of the Pier is a fence between Mexico and the United States into the Pacific Ocean, which attempts to separates the two nations. This photo of the ocean reminds me of how connected border communities are beyond fences and why we continue to do this work on immigration reform. - Katie
