Peter Quaranto joined FCNL on Monday as our new Legislative Director of Foreign Policy. Peter has deep policy and advocacy expertise having worked in the U.S. Senate, at the State Department, National Security Council, and with the University of Notre Dame and Alliance for Peacebuilding.
“We are thrilled to welcome Peter on board to FCNL,” said General Secretary Bridget Moix. “With his long experience in the government and civil society, he is perfectly equipped to lead our foreign policy lobbying to foster peace.”
In his new role, Peter guides our collective efforts to shape and promote a U.S. approach to global affairs that prioritizes diplomacy and cooperation rather than violence and war.
“I have so much respect for FCNL’s principled voice, dynamic networks, and pragmatic engagement with Congress,” Peter said. “I’m excited to join the team to help advocate for a future U.S. foreign policy that prioritizes peacemaking and war prevention.”
Peter also serves as co-chair of the “Future of Peace and Security Coalition,” which he started with the Alliance for Peacebuilding, FCNL, and a wide range of civil society organizations committed to promoting a peace-centered U.S. foreign policy architecture.
