Join Bridget Moix and Hassan El-Tayyab for a special webinar, Glimmers of Hope in the Middle East, on Thursday, Feb. 15 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST.
Together with other faith leaders, they recently visited Israel, the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Lebanon, and Jordan. As they journeyed, the Israel-Palestine war raged on, spilling into other parts of the region.
In their mission for peace, the faith leaders talked to heads of religious communities, royalty, government officials, peacebuilders, children, and ordinary people. Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) organized the trip.
Speakers
Bridget Moix, FCNL general secretary
“As we traveled the region and witnessed the remarkable resilience of people on all sides, it became clear our world is at a crossroads in the Middle East. There is still a chance to forge a pathway to peace, but urgent efforts are needed to de-escalate the violence, protect all civilians, respect international law, and revitalize diplomacy.”

Hassan El-Tayyab, FCNL legislative director for Middle East policy
“After spending several weeks with communities in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory as a part of CMEP’s peace delegation, I’m even more determined to press policymakers to reach an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the wider Middle East.”
