Week-Long Workshop
If you are looking for a week-long workshop that will build your advocacy toolkit, look no farther. Register for “Build Your own Quaker Advocacy Campaign” with Katie Breslin, FCNL’s Young Adult Program manager and Christine Ashley, FCNL’s Quaker Field Secretary. We will collectively and individually envision, plan, and skill up for an advocacy campaign when you return home.

Here is a calendar of events for the week during FGC’s Gathering:

Monday, July 1

3:15 p.m. - FCNL-Pathways to Peace with Riley Robinson. This is a time to hear about programs and pathways to support Quaker legislative priorities with FCNL. Whether you are a longtime advocate and supporter or newly curious, we welcome you to bring your stories, questions, visions for building advocacy opportunities in your community.

4:30 p.m. - Join Diane Randall for a book talk, “Diane’s Faves.” Diane will host a conversation about several of her favorite books which will be stocked at the FGC book store. We will also give away FCNL 75th anniversary books at the talk.

Tuesday, July 2

3:15-4:15 p.m - Join Diane Randall and Beverly Ward, Southeastern Yearly Meeting Earthcare Field Secretary at a hosted Interest Group: Quakers are Taking Action on Climate Concerns.

Thursday, July 4

8:45 a.m.-12:00 p.m. - Sharing Stories, Flexing your Advocacy Muscles with Your Neighbors: Hannah Graf Evans and Itzel Perez Hernandez with Junior Gathering

3:15 p.m.-4:15 p.m. - Interest Group: Building power in Our Communities on Immigration Towards Welcoming Policies with Hannah Graf Evans and Itzel Perez Hernandez. Location TBD.
