This event will feature conversation with Bridget Moix (general secretary since 2020), Diane Randall (general secretary, 2011-2021), and Joe Volk (executive secretary (1990-2011). Moderating the discussion will be Kristen Archer, managing producer of the video, “FCNL @ 80.”
Speakers
General Secretary
Bridget Moix is the fifth General Secretary of the Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL). She also leads two other Quaker organizations, affiliated with FCNL: Friends Place on Capitol Hill and FCNL Education Fund.
General Secretary Emeritus (2011-2021)
Diane Randall served as the General Secretary of the Friends Committee on National Legislation from 2011-2021. She was the fourth General Secretary and first woman to hold the position.
Executive Secretary Emeritus (1990-2011)
Joe Volk is an FCNL Executive Secretary Emeritus, having served in that role from 1990 to 2011. Currently, he serves on the General Committee of FCNL, the Corporation Committee of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), the Corporation Committee of Haverford College, and is a trustee of the board of Wilmington College (OH).
Social Media & Editorial Director
Kristen helps to engage and expand FCNL’s online community and amplify its voice through social media. In this role, she also develops long-form editorial content and serves as an in-house writing trainer for Program Assistants and other colleagues.
