Join FCNL’s sustainable energy and environment team at our bimonthly Call to Conscience meeting. This meeting will feature special guest speakers from the Northern Chumash Tribal Council (NCTC) including Chairwoman Violet Sage Walker, and her executive assistant, Gianna Patchen.
Together we will discuss NCTC’s proposed Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary in the Morro Bay area (CA) and the potential impact of the U.S. government’s plans to build a large floating offshore wind farm in the area. We recognize this event as an opportunity to wrestle with a real-life example of how to ensure environmental justice for communities while we strive to expand green infrastructure following passage of significant energy infrastructure bills.
What is Call to Conscience?
Call to Conscience is a twice monthly meeting with FCNL’s Sustainable Energy and the Environment team. It is a time to connect with activists across the country, hear updates about what is happening with Congress and the administration, and identify opportunities to take action to protect the climate in your own community.
