Letter 68 Organizations Send Message to Congress: End Illegal U.S. War in Yemen 

FCNL, in partnership with 67 other organizations, signed a letter urging members of Congress to support of H.J. Res. 37, Rep. Ro Khanna's (CA-17) legislation to end U.S. military participation in the Saudi-led war in Yemen. The signers include a diverse coalition of groups, including peace and security, humanitarian, mass-movement, faith-based, atrocities prevention, and constitutional rights-focused organizations that collectively represent millions of Americans, based in every congressional district in the country.

S.J. Res. 7

In the coming days, FCNL expects the Senate to vote on bipartisan legislation (S.J. Res. 7) to end U.S. military involvement in the Saudi-led war in Yemen. The measure was introduced by Sens. Bernie Sanders (VT), Mike Lee (UT), and Chris Murphy (CT), and a similar version of the legislation passed the Senate in December 2018 by a vote of 56-41.

The Senate recently voted to advance legislation that will end American participation in the Saudi-led war in Yemen. As of press time, the Senate still needs to hold a final vote on this issue, but it is expected before the end of the 115th Congress.
