This week, Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) sent a letter to the administration urging a robust refugee consultation process.

Hannah Graf Evans, FCNL’s lobbyist on refugee policy, stated, “We applaud Senators Grassley and Feinstein for weighing in and urge them to ensure that our nation continues to provide life-changing refugee resettlement services to as many people as possible. Congressional oversight of the refugee resettlement program is profoundly important, especially amid rumors that the White House may set the next refugee admissions goal at an all-time low, along with the severely low refugee arrivals this year. FCNL urges Senators to push the administration to set a goal of at least 75,000 refugee admissions in FY2019.”
