Milo Keller

Milo Keller served as the Program Assistant for Sustainable Energy and Environment for 2018-2019.

Milo graduated with honors from Occidental College with a degree in Politics. While at Occidental, Milo co-founded and acted as the political director and secretary for the Occidental Democrats Club. He also worked full time as a Field Organizing Fellow with the Hillary Clinton campaign in Pennsylvania in the fall of 2016 and volunteered at a local free legal services center in Los Angeles.

In his spare time, Milo is an avid Bay Area sports fan and enjoys cooking, reading, and getting out into the wilderness as much as possible. In the summer of 2016, he hiked the John Muir Trail from Yosemite National Park to Mount Whitney with his brother and cousin.

Update When Fire Season Lasts 12 Months, It’s Time To Act 

Here in Sonoma County, we know the impacts of climate change all too well. While our community is incredibly resilient, we have been beaten back numerous times by fires and floods. Our fire season is no longer a season — it’s fire year. Recently, a close friend lost her family home while her parents barely escaped the Bennett Valley hills driving through blinding smoke to safety. Too many here could tell similar stories.

Update House Announces Members of House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis 

The House of Representatives officially announced the membership of the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis on Monday, March 4. Rep. Kathy Castor (FL-14) will act as its chair, with Rep. Garret Graves (LA-06) as its ranking member.

Background Interfaith Resource on Climate Reports 

In 2018, two major climate change reports were released that have shifted both our understanding of the catastrophic current and future impacts of climate change as well as the timeline we must operate under to avoid the worst effects. These were the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Global Warming of 1.5 Degrees C Special Report, and the Fourth National Climate Assessment (NCA) Volume II.
