Jessica Russell is originally from Huntsville, Alabama, and graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 2017 with a BFA in Photography.
After working in an educational setting for over three years as the ceramic arts studio manager at SCAD, she recently started her own studio to pursue a career as an artist. This decision was highly influenced by the drive to dedicate more time to her community; to better understand issues within it; and to become a committed, active participant in advocating for positive change for everyone. She currently lives and works in Tennessee as an interdisciplinary artist at Studio Ember.
