Jeffrey Jordan II is FCNL’s lead representative for sustainable energy & environment on the domestic policy team. He advocates for policies related to environmental justice, protecting and sustaining domestic and international climate aid, accelerating clean energy deployment through efficient, community-centered permitting reform and supporting carbon pricing to drive emissions reductions to incentivize innovation.
Before joining FCNL full-time in 2026, Jeffrey was a 2025-2026 federal policy fellow–hunger advocacy with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, working on both domestic and international policy. Jeffrey was a researcher with the social innovation practicum at American University where he contributed a policy brief and social media advocacy toolkit to address the historical and systemic challenges faced in women’s healthcare in the state of Virigina. He was also a pro bono legal advisor with The Ella Project and policy intern with Interfaith Alliance while attending graduate school, working on the forefront of advocating for religious freedom and social justice.

He holds a J.D. from Tulane University School of Law, an M.A. in International Affairs: Global Governance, Politics and Security from American University School of International Service and a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College. His law thesis, entitled The Environmental Issues and Lasting Impact of Warfare on Civilization in the Middle East, focused on international policy reform to address climate change before, during and post-conflict. Jeffrey has also published an op-ed entitled “What About Our Boys? Reforming International Law to Recognize Male Victims of Sex Trafficking” with the Journal of International Service.

In his free time, Jeffrey likes to travel to different countries, is an avid reader and plays with his cat, Nacho. He also enjoys watching basketball, football, baseball and soccer.
