All of this feels really good: as a young person who knows how it feels to have very little power, to be able to face people that do and say, let me explain what will happen to us if you do XYZ.

It’s good to come in with facts. We’re aiming for feasible solutions. You’re not going to change ideology in 30 minutes so find a practical solution beneficial to you and to them. I don’t know any more than anyone else. But it’s nice to sit down with an adult and be realistic. Here is something that can help both of us. No one can get everything they want.

This weekend is about building relationships. It’s an opportunity to see humanity in other people. Maybe they’re not your friend, but they’re not your opponent.

The tools I’ve gotten here I’d like to bring back home. I want to start small scale, talk to local churches. And we can lobby these same politicians back in their home offices.
