The recently expanded Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit are already reducing poverty in communities throughout the country. As we respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of policies to combat economic injustice and racial disparities in our economy are being considered in recovery negotiations, including permanent expansions of the EITC and CTC.
