On Dec. 12-15, José Woss, FCNL’s Legislative Manager for Criminal Justice and Election Integrity, will join other leaders at Pendle Hill’s Quaker Institute.
Practicing Our Heritage of Mysticism and Resistance
This workshop seeks to breakdown the false dichotomy between Friends that participate in the search for truth through worship and Friends that manifest the truth in their lives through activism.
From Pendle Hill, “To be faithful to our tradition and to the leadings of the Light, we are both seekers after the Truth as revealed to us in prayer and worship and animators of the Truth that is revealed to us. We participate both in mysticism and resistance to the ways of the world by standing and moving in revealed Truth.”
This workshop will feature plenary speakers, extended worship, and explorations of the Quaker heritage and what Quaker leadings are today.
