An author and public speaker, Pat will share her experience with raising chickens to create compost and keep food waste out of landfills.

Pat Foreman
Pat Foreman is a professional speaker, author, and writer. She has rich experience in international consulting, organic farming, and pharmacy. Pat has worked at the United Nations International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) and the Food and Drug Administration. She conducted workshops in more than 30 developing countries and provided primary health care training and consulting. She was a co-owner of the Tiny House Company and co-developed a Permaculture-designed 20-lot subdivision.
Pat has authored and co-authored several books on building tiny houses and keeping chickens as bio-recyclers, diverting yard and food “waste” from landfills and, with their manure, creating compost and topsoil.
Jus Tavcar: Moderator
Jus Tavcar is FCNL’s program assistant for sustainable energy and environment. In his work, Jus lobbies Congress to pass policies in favor of transitioning into a just green economy. Before joining as a program assistant, Jus worked in nonprofit development, first at FCNL as a summer intern and then at Bread for the World. Born and raised in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Jus graduated from Earlham College with degrees in Art History and Global Management.
