Meet Our Hosts

Kody Hersh (he/him/his or they/them/theirs) has served as staff for Philadelphia Yearly Meeting’s Middle School and Young Friends (high school) programs, spent time at two Quaker colleges as a Friend in Residence, and taught First Day School classes for kids of all ages. He has been on staff of the Annual Gathering of Friends, served on the Youth Ministries Committee of Friends General Conference, and traveled among Friends.

Outside of the Quaker universe, Kody is a writer, musician, home cook, LGBTQ advocate, and a member of Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT). They have served with CPT teams in Colombia, Palestine, and with the Indigenous Peoples Solidarity Team here on Turtle Island (North America), and are passionate about the relationship between spirituality and transformative action.

Megan Fair is an FCNL appointed representative of Wilmington Yearly Meeting and a member of Wilmington Friends Meeting. She is also FCNL’s Field Committee clerk. Megan currently serves as Grant Administrator and Civil Rights Support Specialist for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights organization. Prior to moving to CAIR’s national office in DC, Megan served as the Civil Rights Assistant Director for CAIR’s Washington state chapter.

Megan graduated from Guilford College, was an AmeriCorps member with AFSC’s Area Office of the Carolinas, and is the proud mama of Bel- her loving dog who often makes cameo appearances on Zoom conference calls.

Lauren Brownlee a member of the peace and justice committees of Bethesda Friends Meeting and Baltimore Yearly Meeting. In 2018, as a member steering committee of the Quaker Palestine Israel Network, she spent a month in the West Bank and as a member of the DC Peace Team, she did nonviolent civilian peacekeeping in DC and at the southern border.
