Thank you for joining Kate and Jim for the April 12 call on the United States’ escalating war in Syria and what you can do to stop it.

Transcript of Kate’s Remarks

Three Things You Can Do Now

1) Email your members of Congress

Ask them to oppose President Trump’s unauthorized airstrikes against a Syrian airbase, and to speak out against further escalation.

Send an email.

2) Ask a question at a town hall

Right now, members of Congress are back in their districts holding meetings with constituents. Look for a town hall near you, and ask this simple question:

Will you urge Congress to immediately debate and vote against U.S. war in Syria, and press for diplomacy to stop the killing?

3) Drop by your member of Congress’ office

Bring your message directly to your congressional office! Print out the article below, go to their website to find the nearest office to you, then pay them a visit — no meeting required. Here’s what to say when you get there:

I’m stopping by to say that I’m concerned about the U.S. escalating the war in Syria. Could you pass this document along to the right staff member for me and ask them to let me know your office’s position?
