I am Quaker and a major climate change activist. I believe that young people do not have an adequate seat at the table to be represented in decisions that will affect their futures.
There is a disconnect between politicians and the people.
The connections I’ve made here are valuable because my high school is quite homogenous for Alaska. It puts a face on the issue for me. And I’ve learned how to address the issues at hand with a moderate politician.
I will bring these tools back home. I will actually be giving a presentation at church about what I’ve learned here.
