Lydia graduated in 2021 from the Pennsylvania State University Schreyer Honors College with dual degrees in Community, Environment, and Development and Global and International Studies, with a minor in Spanish.
Throughout her undergraduate career, Lydia worked on environmental sustainability programs and campaigns to encourage the university to commit to climate action. She has been a research assistant at the University of Auckland in New Zealand, as well as for the Penn State Center for Economic and Community Development. She has also worked as a Student Sustainability Coordinator for Penn State’s Residential Dining Services for several years. Lydia is from Centreville, Virginia.
