I’m not Quaker but I identify with what Quakers believe.

Spring Lobby Weekend has been awe-inspiring. It’s my first time to D.C. But I hope to be president someday. I want to be a politician. Being here is giving me the education, understanding, and resources to do that.

Being in the U.S. Capitol building for the first time was magical.

I know my power in the world, where I’m going and what I’m doing. And there will be ripple effects— it may not be today. But if you don’t take that as an intention then you should.

I’ve met a ton of good people here: young, old, established, becoming established. There is so much potential in the world. I’m just so inspired by being here.

Louis lives in Mukilteo, WA and works at the Washing State Department of Social and Health Services. Louis also serves as the vice president of his local NAACP chapter. Louis attended Spring Lobby Weekend for the first time in 2018.
