Kessia Andersen is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, majoring in Global Studies with a minor in Film. She spent the first semester of her freshman year at St. Norbert College in a service learning social justice gap program which exposed her to the complexity of many social issues and the often underestimated accountability of the individual within a community.

Kessia is passionate about restorative justice as a method of conflict resolution and is excited to apply it’s fundamental elements of empathy and understanding circumstance to the difficult dialogue surrounding gun violence.
