Juan Avila is a recent graduate of the University of New Mexico where he received his BA in Political Science. Juan is excited to begin a career within the local political sphere and looks forward to advocating for issues affecting his community. He has helped to advocate for local issues ranging from immigration to democracy reform. He believes that meaningful change begins at the grassroots level which is why he is excited to be a part of the Advocacy Corps where he will join a team of young adults to help make a meaningful change by helping and encouraging people to engage in their government.
