Harriet Jordan is a senior Psychology major with a concentration in Business and two minors; one in Human Resource Management and one in Statistics at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. She was born in the United Kingdom and immigrated to the U.S. at the age of four with her family.

Through this journey, Harriet has experienced firsthand the complicated and multi-layered immigration system, ending with her receiving legal permanent residency in 2011. While at Appalachian State University, Harriet joined the local campus Quaker Student Community. There, she had the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. for Spring Lobby Weekend the past two years. Over those two weekends, Harriet discovered her passion for advocacy. On campus Harriet is also involved in organizations for her major that help to eliminate bias and discrimination from the workplace. Harriet is excited to advocate for Rep. Virginia Foxx to take bipartisan action on immigration reform.
