Gabriel Maupome-Ramirez, originally from Mexico City, has been living in Indiana for the past 11 years. Entering his final year at Indiana University, he is completing a BA in Political Science, and is also earning minors in Spanish and religious studies, and a certificate in Political Action and Civic Engagement.
He looks forward to advocating for immigration reform to the representatives and the people of his community, and looks to channel his values of democratic deliberation and education in the political systems and processes both within and outside of the United States to this goal. When he is not working on his studies or helping organize a conference or a service trip on campus, he may be enjoying a good book, a good song, or a good walk.
