Doris Quintanilla assists the Communications team with a particular focus on digital advocacy and fundraising. Her primary responsibility is to onboard people engaged through digital ad campaigns, produce reports, and to support with emails and website content.

Doris serves as the DC Ambassador for the Reproductive Health Access Project, a national nonprofit organization that integrates abortion, contraception, and miscarriage care into primary care. She also serves as the Membership Director on the Women’s Information Network’s Executive Committee, an association of professional women dedicated to advancing progressive politics and social justice in D.C. In December 2017, she co-founded The Melanin Collective, a space for women of color to see their true self and value and to develop supportive, professional, and lasting relationships. Doris grew up in Santa Ana, California, and went on to receive a bachelor’s in International Development with a focus on Latin America and the Middle East from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Throughout her career, Doris has focused on expanding access to healthcare and higher education and on championing social justice and sexual and reproductive health for all. Her journey started in 2009 in Oakland, California, where she spearheaded community health education and youth leadership development with La Clínica de la Raza. In 2014, Doris moved to the Dominican Republic to work in youth leadership and returned to the United States to continue this work, focusing on building partnerships and recruitment. In 2016, she joined the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals as a program manager where she managed a portfolio of programs focusing on the intersection of sexual and reproductive health and chronic conditions. She began working at FCNL May 2018.

Doris’ free time is dedicated to her Cricut ®, a crafting machine, that she uses to make unique cards, custom tees, and home decor.
