There are great people here—it’s such an important space in the social justice world.
I’m very invested in the lives of POC. It’s very difficult work when you don’t know what to do about it. So I’m here to learn how to address these things.
I don’t identify with any faith tradition but I always support people fighting for justice. There are not enough people invested in the lives of those who are suffering.
I have a passion and love for my community. But I have a deep frustration with the U.S. It’s an oppressive, minimizing country that facilitates systems that treat people unfairly and is gifted in hypocrisy. While we care about the power of youth, we don’t seem to care about youth themselves. It seems like they’re worried about what we can do, not who we are.
It’s been so nice meeting dreamers this weekend. It’s eye opening to speak to someone you’ve only ever heard about. Spring Lobby Weekend adds layers to my inspiration and fills me up even more. It showed me what passion is. I’ve had an uplifting time here.
