Rebecca Eastwood comes to the Columbans from a background in political science and immigration and refugee policy. As a member of the Lutheran Volunteer Corps, she previously worked for Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services’ Advocacy Office.

Rebecca’s time volunteering in Postville, Iowa, in the aftermath of one of the country’s largest immigration raids cemented her commitment to humane and just immigration policy. Her passion for advocacy comes from her interest in the intersection between social and environmental justice and policy. Rebecca has studied in Nicaragua, India, and South Africa and holds a degree in Political Science from Gustavus Adolphus College.
