I am Quaker.

It’s been awesome to meet new people who want to make changes like I do. Even though we’re lobbying different people, we’re working together.

I am a strong believer that if you put personal stories to your lobbying, that you can make a difference. And if nothing else, our representative heard our stories and why we care.

This weekend moved me a lot. I can relate to dreamers being in a country they don’t know. Being able to work for these people I can relate to has been very powerful. I plan to carry it all with me as a kind of witness.

At the end of the day, lobbying is community service. You’re helping people. I have the ability to take time from my life for people who can’t necessarily do that.
