We Protected Health Care – Again. Now What?

By Diane Randall, September 28, 2017

Thank you! Once again, the power of people talking to Congress has stopped the repeal of the Affordable Care Act. Together, we have prevented devastating cuts to health care for millions of people.

Make the Affordable Care Act even better

Act now.

Senate leaders did not have the votes this week to pass the Graham-Cassidy legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Your phone calls, emails, letters to the editor, and presence in Senate offices and town hall meetings to oppose this bill made the difference to protect Medicaid and affordable health care access for millions.

Please act today to tell your senators you’re glad this bill isn’t moving forward.

Our success in protecting the Affordable Care Act over the past nine months is a testament to the power of constituent advocacy. But we know that this won’t be the last time that Congress tries to undermine Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act.

FCNL will continue to persistently advocate for programs that enable every person’s potential to be fulfilled – including access to affordable health care. As we look ahead to making the Affordable Care Act better, will you ask your senators to continue to protect our care?

Thank you for your faithful advocacy.
