No More Bombing School Buses

By Kate Gould, August 23, 2018

It’s official: the bomb that killed dozens of Yemeni children in a school bus, as they returned from a rare school field trip, was made in the USA.

Yet, despite U.S.-made and U.S.-sold bombs repeatedly being used in atrocities in Yemen, the Trump administration is reportedly planning to tell Congress that the United States will be selling even more weapons to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Will you write to your senators and urge them to do everything in their power to stop more bomb sales to the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen?

If the administration does move forward with these weapon sales, Congress has an opportunity to block it. Last year, 47 senators voted to block a bomb sale to Saudi Arabia. We need just four more votes for a win in the Senate. But the tide is turning: in the last two weeks alone, members of Congress have sent three separate letters demanding accountability from the Pentagon more information on the U.S. role in Yemen.

We owe that progress to grassroots advocates like you. We need you to keep up the momentum to prevent more U.S. bombs from killing more schoolchildren.

Tell your members of Congress: no more bombs for atrocities in Yemen.
