Meti Tizitaw is FCNL’s IT Network Administrator. In this role, he supports the FCNL staff in technology, including day-to-day operations, and manages the IT network infrastructure and security of the organization. Meti has worked in different nonprofit and international organizations in Africa, Europe and here in the United States.

Before joining FCNL, he was managing the IT unit for Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area (LSSNCA), a nonprofit in the D.C. area helping resettle immigrants and unaccompanied refugee minors, among other things. 

Apart from supporting LSSNCA’s offices in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia in their day-to-day activities, Meti has led and implemented various projects and upgraded many of the legacy infrastructure at the different offices. He also planned and led the migration of the organization’s critical system to the cloud, which was crucial to support staff working from home and different locations. 

Meti also volunteers in a local community organization based in Maryland, established to assist seniors and the youth in the DMV area.
