Jessica Del Villar

Jessica is part of the 2016-2017 class of Young Fellows and serves as the Program Assistant for Young Adult Outreach. She primarily focuses her efforts on recruiting for Spring Lobby Weekend. Jessica is a LA native and recent graduate of Duke University where she studied Sociology, Cultural Anthropology and Latino Studies.

She has a deep investment in social justice and equality and is particularly invested in immigrant justice. During her time as an undergraduate, she interned at Derechos Humanos, a Tucson based immigrant rights organization, where she focused her efforts on locating missing migrants. In addition, she spent a semester studying globalization and social change in Cochabamba, Bolivia and another month studying in Guanajuato, Mexico.

During her free time, Jessica loves traveling and hopes to one day visit every country in Latin America. She also enjoys nature and trying international cuisines.
