Budget Priorities
Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
A nonprofit organization that conducts research and analysis on fiscal policy and public programs at the state and federal levels to inform public debates over proposed
budget and tax policies and to help ensure that the needs of low-income families
and individuals are considered in these debates.
Coalition on Human Needs
An alliance of national organizations working to promote public policies which address the needs of low-income and other vulnerable populations. The Coalition's members include civil rights, religious, labor and professional organizations and those concerned with the well being of children, women, the elderly and people with disabilities.
Children’s Defense Fund
A private nonprofit organization that provides a strong, effective voice for all the children of America and educates the nation about the needs of children.
National Priorities Project
A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that offers citizen and community groups tools and resources to shape federal budget and policy priorities which promote social and economic justice.
Civil Liberties and Human Rights
American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
A nonprofit, nonpartisan group working to fight civil liberties violations.
Amnesty International
A grassroots activist organization dedicated to freeing prisoners of conscience, gaining fair trials for political prisoners, ending torture, political killings and "disappearances," and abolishing the death penalty throughout the world.
National Religious Campaign Against Torture : An inter-religious membership organization, NRCAT serves as a clearing house, promotes commuication and education and develops new program initiatives to stop torture in the United States and abroad.
Conventional Weapons and Military Assistance
Amnesty International
Amnesty International has joined in a campaign to establish strict controls and vigilant monitoring and to expose the
role of governments in facilitating human rights abuses through the trade in
arms and urge governments to sign onto an International Arms Trade Treaty.
British American Security Information Council (BASIC)
BASIC is a progressive and independent analysis and advocacy organization which researches and provides a critical examination of global security issues, including nuclear policies, military strategies, armaments and disarmament.
Federation of American Scientists
FAS addresses national security issues of the nuclear age in carrying out its mission to promote humanitarian uses of science and technology. FAS runs the Arms Sales Monitoring Project, which works to increase
transparency, accountability and restraint in the global arms trade.
Human Rights Watch
Human Rights Watch advances its human rights agenda through an extensive program that monitors landmines, military practices and small arms and arms flows around the world.

JStreet
The American Jewish “political arm of the pro-Israel, pro-peace movement” promoting meaningful American leadership to resolve Middle East conflicts diplomatically.
The National Iranian American Council
This organization promotes Iranian-American participation in American civic life and advances the interests of the Iranian American Community on civil, cultural, and political issues.
Peace Action
A national grassroots peace group that mobilizes for peace and disarmament.
Iraq
Council for a Livable World
Council for a Livable World has advocated for the elimination of weapons of mass destruction since 1962. The Council's Campaign Iraq advocates for the withdrawl of U.S. troops from Iraq as the just and honorable solution to an unjust war.
Education for Peace in Iraq Center
This group works through educational programs and advocates U.S. support of Iraqi efforts to advance peace and development on the ground.
Iraq Veterans Against the War
This group is leading the movement of veterans and GIs who are working for the immediate withdrawal of troops from Iraq, supporting reparations for the human and structural damages Iraq has suffered, and advocating for full benefits for returning servicemen and women.

A national grassroots peace group that mobilizes for peace and disarmament.
United for Peace and Justice
United for Peace and Justice is the largest grassroots anti-war coalition in the country, with more than 1400 local and national groups throughout the United States who have joined together to protest the Iraq war, escalation of the war in Afghanistan, and to prevent war with Iran.
Win Without War
Win Without War is a coalition of national organizations that advocate the transformation of the U.S. military occupation into an Iraqi-led, regionally backed, and internationally supported effort to achieve stability and a representative government.

Arms Control Association
A national nonpartisan membership organization dedicated to promoting public understanding of and support for effective arms control policies.
Council for a Livable World
Council for a Livable World has advocated for the elimination of weapons of mass destruction since 1962. Today, the Council continues in its original mandate to inform, educate and lobby for nuclear disarmament.
Faithful Security
A multi-faith coalition dedicated to raising the voice of U.S. religious communities toward a world free of nuclear weapons.
Union of Concerned Scientists
An independent nonprofit alliance working to bring about a safer world by eliminating the risks posed by nuclear arsenals, nuclear terrorism, and enhancing international dialogue on security issues.
Women's Action for New Directions (WAND)
A nonprofit organization that is dedicated to redirecting federal budget priorities away from the military and toward human needs.
Peaceful Prevention of Deadly Conflict
3D Security
Founded by Eastern Mennonite Professor Lisa Schirch, this policy and advocacy institute advocates policy approaches and tools to prevent deadly conflict and build global security.
Campaign for Innocent Victims in Conflict
This advocacy group advocates on behalf of victims of armed conflict, working to ensure they receive recognition and assistance from warring parties.
Enough Project
Through policy prescriptions, informed by field based research, this advocacy group urges policymakers to take actions to prevent and respond to mass atrocities and deadly conflicts.
Genocide Intervention Network
Founded by students, this membership based anti genocide advocacy group raises awareness and advocates on legislation to help protect victims of mass human rights abuses.
Oxfam America
An international relief and development organization that creates lasting solutions to poverty, hunger and injustice.
Refugees International
This group advocates on behalf of refugees around the world. Field based research informs their respected policy prescriptions to the most pressing deadly conflicts around the world.
United Nations
Better World Campaign
A project established to foster a stronger relationship between the U.S. and UN through outreach,
communications, and advocacy.
Citizens for Global Solutions
A membership organization working to build political will in the United States to achieve
effective democratic global institutions that will apply the rule of
law while respecting the diversity and autonomy of national and local
communities.
Quaker United Nations Office (QUNO)
A Quaker organization that has general consultive status with the United Nations. Since the founding of the UN, Quakers have shared that organisation's aims and supported its efforts to abolish war and promote peaceful resolution of conflicts, human rights, economic justice and good governance.
Faith-Based Organizations
American Friends Service Committee
A nonprofit Quakers organization committed to the principles of nonviolence and justice, it seeks in its work and witness to draw on the transforming power of love, human and divine.
Churches for Middle East Peace
A coalition of public policy offices of national churches and agencies that bring the perspectives and long Middle East experience of its member bodies to the public policy arena.
Leadership Conference of Women Religious
An association of the leaders of congregations of Catholic women religious in the United States whose concerns include collaborating in Catholic church and societal efforts that influence systemic change and studying significant trends and issues within the church and society.
Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns
A collaborative ministry that facilitates among Maryknollers, as Catholics and agents of Christ’s Gospel, a personal and corporate commitment to peace, social justice and the integrity of creation.
Mennonite Central Committee
MCC's development work around the world is in areas such as education, health, agriculture, peace and justice issues, relief work and job creation.
MCC strives for peace, justice and the dignity of all people by sharing experiences, resources and faith in Jesus Christ.
National Council of Churches of Christ
NCCC in the USA has been the leading force for ecumenical cooperation among Christians in the United States. The council's work includes education and leadership, justice and advocacy, and interfaith relations.
NETWORK, a National Catholic Social Justice Lobby
A religious lobby that gives a progressive voice within the Catholic community and has been influencing Congress in favor of peace and justice for more than 30 years, working to close the gap between rich and poor and to dismantle policies rooted in racism, greed and violence.
Pax Christi USA
A section of the National Catholic Peace Movement, Pax Christi commits itself to peace education and, with the help of its bishop members, promotes the gospel imperative of peacemaking as a priority in the Catholic Church in the United States.
Sojourners
A Christian ministry
whose mission is to proclaim and practice the
biblical call to integrate spiritual renewal and social justice. Sojourners publishes a magazine and offers a variety of other resources.
United Methodist Board of Church and Society
The General Board of Church and Society (GBCS) is a part of The United Methodist Church. GBCS works on many diverse issues.
