The policies outlined in this report would
help the U.S. move its nuclear weapons policies in line
with the will of the world's people. The people of the world
have long understood that nuclear weapons do not provide
security and place the entire planet at risk of total annihilation.
It is time for the political leadership in the United States
to come to grips with this vital realization.
Increasing armaments to secure peace is an inherently flawed policy. If the U.S. government is to effectively address the proliferation of new weapons, it must come to understand that possession of nuclear weapons is linked to proliferation. The re-nuclearization of the United
States' foreign and military policy will not offer protection
against those who wish to do the U.S. harm. Instead, it
will likely lead to increased hostilities and further
violence. |
