Congress needs to support diplomacy, not more money for war in Iraq!
Congress has approved $70 billion in additional funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Congress needs to stop voting more money for war, and start supporting a new, bipartisan diplomatic and political strategy that will lead to the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq. The New Diplomatic Initative for Iraq (H.R. 3797) already has 42 cosponsors in the House.
Please join FCNL's in-district lobbying effort to support the New Diplomatic Initative for Iraq. Fill out the form below to let us know that you will write your representative to request a meeting in early January or in the period around the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend while she or he is back in the district. If you fill out the form below, FCNL will send you more information on the lobby days to build support for the diplomatic surge (H.R. 3797) as it becomes available.
