Lizzie Biddle
Campaigns Program Assistant
Lizzie graduated from Guilford College in 2009 with a BA in Peace and Conflict Studies and Sociology with a minor in Spanish. As a native of Quakertown, PA, Lizzie grew up attending Unami Monthly Meeting, PYM, until she moved to North Carolina and discovered that Philadelphia is not the center of Quakerism.
Through college, Lizzie was an active member of the Quaker Leaders Scholars Program, where she grew to love and appreciate the diversity of Friends. Through schoolwork and "outside of the classroom" experiences, she cultivated a passion for social change, leading her to travel to Israel and Palestine, mediate beneficial dialogue between Israeli and Palestinian High Schoolers, travel to Mexico several times, and write an extensive thesis connecting global economic structures and violent conflict in developing countries. Her determination and passion for challenging social norms to an end of social justice, extends to all aspects of her life.
Among several things that she will be working on while at FCNL, Lizzie will be eagerly energizing Quaker Meetings and Churches all over the country to more effectively lobby. Throughout her sojourn with FCNL and all of its constitutes, she hopes to walk cheerfully over the earth answering that of God in everyone.
