Kimberly MacVaugh
Program Assistant: Foreign Policy
Kimberly MacVaugh is originally from Towson, Maryland and she graduated in December of 2007 from Messiah College in Grantham, PA with a Bachelors degree in Politics and minors in Religion and in Peace and Conflict Studies. During her time there she had the opportunity to study abroad in Lithuania for a semester as well as to visit some of Europe and Russia. The summer before her senior year Kimberly interned in the Baltimore office of AFSC working with the local Cost of War campaign.
Recently, Kimberly has returned from living and working for a year in Bethlehem, part of the Palestinian Territories, with the Mennonite Central Committee and found the experience extremely challenging yet rewarding. While there she developed a keen interest in learning about the Arab and Muslim worlds, in promoting interfaith dialogue, and in personally becoming involved in efforts for peace and justice in the region.
Kimberly’s hobbies include reading, baking, knitting/crocheting, and studying Arabic. She hopes to enroll in graduate studies in International Peace and Conflict in the future.
