Inez Steigerwald
Program Assistant: Native American Program
Inez joined FCNL as an intern in the Native American Advocacy Program after graduating from Haverford College. There she studied Comparative Literature with a concentration in Peace & Conflict Studies. She has long been interested in and involved with human rights, particularly in Central America. She has been especially active in an ongoing project in El Salvador, where she is working with her mother towards writing the history of a Salvadoran human rights organization. This internship with FCNL is an opportunity for her to expand that interest into the area of Native American rights and advocacy.
Inez was born and raised in upstate New York, but has called Minneapolis, MN home for over 10 years now. At Haverford she was on the women's Ultimate Frisbee team, and hopes to continue with that love in the future. She and her dog currently reside in Washington, DC.
