	New Nuclear Weapon Defeated For the second year in a row, Congress has refused to fund the administration's request for a new nuclear weapon. On July 10, the Senate administered the last rites for the Reliable Replacement Warhead (RRW) when the Senate Appropriations Committee passed a spending bill rejecting all funding for the new weapon.
